Source of funding and budget

TVK is funded through a government subsidy. Its personnel are on the payroll of the ministry of information, according to local journalists and experts.

Editorial independence

TVK operates as a fully state-run body, without any mechanisms in place that would ensure the independence of its journalists.

No statute and no independent oversight or assessment mechanism to validate TVK’s editorial independence have been identified, the station’s work being closely supervised by the Ministry of Information.
