The former, Pyongyang Broadcasting Station (Radio Pyongyang), is North Korea’s radio station catering to Koreans in South Korea, Japan and China (an AM station). The latter is an FM domestic network mostly focused on music. Both are accountable to the United Front Department, a unit of the Workers’ Party of Korea in charge of espionage and propaganda.
