Barricada was the official publication of FSLN from 1979 to 1998. It was born in 1979 as an editorial project aimed at promoting the Sandinista revolution. Following the anti-government riots of that year, a group of youth supportive of the Sandinista movement and the government of Nicaragua revived the publication in 2018.
