Serbia’s largest commercial television channel, TV Pink, has been known for many years as a pro-government channel. Its owner, Zeljko Mitrovic, has constantly received financial support from the government in exchange for friendly coverage of the authorities. Hence, TV Pink has become a staunch supporter of the government.
Recently, it has been revealed that the station has not paid taxes. The outlet’s owner regularly receives government funds through subsidies or loans from state agencies that he uses to keep the station afloat.
