Mansudae Television, a government-controlled television station, operates as a separate entity from KCBC. The station’s core competencies lie in the broadcasting of movies and entertainment programming. The channel is only broadcast on weekends. In 2018, the North Korean government announced its intention to transform the station into a subscription-based channel. However, there has been no further progress on this initiative.
