Mansudae Television

Mansudae Television is a state-controlled entertainment channel in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, operating independently from the Korean Central Broadcasting Committee (KCBC). Launched on 1 December 1973, it has carved out a niche for itself by showcasing films—including select foreign titles—and light entertainment during the weekends.

As a state-controlled outlet, it serves as an extension of centralized media oversight, though with a relatively lighter, entertainment-focused identity compared to the flagship channel, Korean Central Television (KCTV).
