The key broadcast management group in North Korea, KCBC is subordinated to the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which is the highest policy body of the North Korean government, fully controlled by Kim Jong-un. The KCBC personnel are appointed by the Propaganda and Agitation Department, the department in charge of information at the Workers’ Party of Korea.
