The key broadcast management group in North Korea, KCBC, reports to the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the highest policy body of the North Korean government and fully controlled by Kim Jong-un. KCBC personnel are appointed by the Propaganda and Agitation Department, the department in charge of information at the Workers’ Party of Korea.
