Dimtsi Hafash Eritrea (Voice of the Broad Masses of Eritrea) launched its broadcasting services in 1979, airing from the field where Eritreans were fighting for their independence. Today, Dimtsi Hafash broadcasts in all Eritrean languages as well as Amharic and Oromiffa, both on short and middle waves and by satellite.
